Sourcing and metal pricing

We purchase in accordance with both the agreements the aircraft manufacturers have negotiated with the producing mills, and on our own behalf. As a result we have access to sufficient capacity and the appropriate metal pricing to meet our customers’ needs.

We encourage our customers to give us forward visibility of their requirements, where possible, to ensure we have sufficient inventory to meet their needs but we also carry speculative inventory to cover unplanned demands, AOGs etc. As a result customers benefit from available metal at the right price.

To achieve this we buy from all of the approved mill sources and constantly monitor their performance. We are able to advise customers on the best sourcing policy and to flex our purchases on a day to day basis to respond to their needs. This ensures that material is constantly available so that we can deliver a service that enables customers to minimise total cost.
